And we’ve officially kicked off for 2018! The first weekend of Melanoma March was a huge success with the first four Marches in Coolangatta, Rockhampton, Melbourne and Mt Gambier setting the tone for the remaining Marches.

Aaron Kelly, a melanoma survivor took on Rockhampton with its first ever Melanoma March. The event was extremely well received, raising over $10,000 for vital melanoma research.

Raising nearly $20,000, Coolangatta smashed it with hundreds all marching together on the Gold Coast.  It is great to see communities support each other and work together for a great cause.

Melbourne’s Jessica Van Zeil was interviewed on the news, bolstering exposure of Melanoma March and raising awareness about this important campaign. Melbourne has raised over $60,000 already! We can’t wait to see their final fundraising results.

A traditionally smaller March, Mt Gambier was back again for another year, and their enthusiasm was undeniable. The photos look great and emotions ran high. The support of the Mt Gambier community is very appreciated.

The atmosphere in all locations was filled with emotion and support. Melanoma March is a great reminder of why we are all here. Thank you to all of the committees for all of your hard work leading up to your event. With everyone’s participation and fundraising we’re working towards zero deaths from melanoma. We can’t wait for this weekend’s Marches!
